Hawker, consider used Ambulances instead of school bus like the one you have. ambulances much much more H.D. all over & interior cabinets are nice, no need to build one yourself. I saw a few nice ones online last month auctions in Las Vegas = no rust on International truck Chassis. where you located? check those auctions online nearby you.

Hawker, There's that loophole / used to be in Vermont but now last dozen years in Montana where you can title veh's there without being resident. there's dozen co's out there can do it for a fee - anywhere from approx $ 200 - 300 normal price last time I check few years ago - they reggy & title for you all by either mail or online. Montana gov knows it, as they generate millions for they're Gov state as they have very few residents to generate $.

LoL I do have a 4x4 KEI truck back home .i used to use it to go hunting with my dogs like once a year . I have no idea who came up with that simple nimble driving machine design. I think it's illegal in CA to own one but I'm not sure . Never failed on me . but that was more than 34 years ago. I bet it's still there at my buddy's house all rusted out for sure . LoL
As for the Sanuki Corp , that area is known as S Korean immigrants district. It's considered as a bit of a country side. It seems they buys Japanese used cars which did not pass the Japanese Govs vehicle checks with heavy hefty taxations so, so many owners get rid of it for very cheap then move on to buy a completely new ones.
However , most of them are hardly just passed break in period. So practically still a brand new used cars compared with West
If you don't mind few steps to import and able to pass the state's emissions regulations I'd say why not . ..

Oh , my God .... I signed release in of my bus valued at $14000 for $10,000 settlement . However , USAA send me a letter saying the settlement amount will be
$9633.00, this is the new amount they can settle due to prior payments made on your claim for the assessment of your vehicle. The payment is they paid the money to pick up my bus to copart which I did not agreed to it. Somebody help me how to deal with this !?

Hawker, you need to decide what's best for you honestly to yourself. how much you had into your bus under <10K's or over >? if is close to, or under & you are getting all or most back then you should just take what they are offering. which I think you are very lucky already. is up to you. deciding time / hassle / your financial needs for extra few hundred might not be worthwhile. just my opinion - good luck.

Its just fundamental thing. I agreed with $10k settlement which was valued at $14000. The actual market price is $20,000 in California.

Now, they started to say they need to subtract miniscule few hundreds of their careless mistakethat they didn't included Assessment cost on settlement amount.
Thats not my problem to be begin with.
What's comes next ? Are they going to charge me for their lunch party cost ? Give me a break right? I won't accept anything below $10,000. Not even a cent. I might sue them at small claim court . They Playing too much .

Well, Ive already signed agreement with settlement amount $10,000 on releasement
So I was waiting on check in a mail.

However, now they started saying it's now $9633 and I have to sign it again.
Because they spend money on assessment to evaluate value of my vehicle that wasn't not included in settlement amount. That's not even my mistake to begin with . What next would be? hey ? We didn't include that lunch buffet cost for our co workers for celebration? C'mon....and I have to call out my friend from a far to co-sign again because they made an stupid careless mistake ? No that's not gonna happen.

I haven't even got a check in a mail even.

I told them no judge would agrees for less than $10,000 after I signed off with .
Then this is her answer.
"Please refer to my prior email with the explanation, The revised amount we can settle has been sent to you. We will not move forward with any other amount. Once we receive the Revised release we will issue the payment. " Like that LoL. I told her The amount we can settle has been sent to you. I will not move forward with any other amount which is $10,000 no more no less on that date and with signature on that date. LoL
