I want to try to soundproof as much as possible my bus. I know acoustimass is pretty pricey but in the long run I think it'd be worth the money. Has anyone here had any experience using acoustimass on the dash and the floor of the bus?
If you don't have a bus already, the best soundproofing, at least while driving, starts with a rear engine.
Already have the bus. It's a dog nose.
Rattle proofing stuff is an obsession I have. My dodge beater van really drives me nuts.
I sound deadened and rattle-proofed an old Honda I had. I used undercoating and lots of dynamat. Had some spray stuff called "roadkill" that worked real well.
In a bus I try not to let the rattles and creaks get to me much. I'll eventually get this dashboard of mine fixed. Gonna go full-custom since mine's so thrashed.
I spent weeeeeks on my 62 Econoline. A pair of 15" subs will bring out every rattleRattle proofing stuff is an obsession I have. My dodge beater van really drives me nuts.

Dynamat for the dog house, better screws in panels, I even rubber mounted the license plate. A little dab of silicone adhesive works wonders on small rattles.
For engine noise I used dynamat but I think the rubber backed cheap hd carpet did just as much
Dynamat is over-hyped for sure. I used it and was pleased but would look for cheaper options now.
I only had one 15" in the honda with 1200 watts. The rattles were a constant battle!
