starlink mount

i sure looked at those magnetic mounts. the price on the mounts i saw, were as much as the starlink unit. so.....pass. the vehicle mount i got from starlink is $40. (+ 1 ubolt)

i got powered up yesterday. the bus hasnt moved, so the starlink is pointed west.

the unit came on, did its thing for a bit and i ran thru the troubleshooting to check the signal.

90 degrees off
269Mbps

i think its running faster than my home starlink.

i'm slow, and when it gets cold, i move like molasses.

but, i need to finish up so......

cleared some snow.

starlink ubolt installed.

i got lucky, the only u bolt at the store that was close, was close enough. the bolt is a 2"x5". but the star link mount holes are more like 1 3/4". so a trip to the vise to squeez the u bolt a bit and ....voila, starlink security.
