Hello all,
Just received my new to me 2006 IC 40'
seats all out and ready to tackle the floor.
Planning on 18 months on the build
I am a professional blacksmith and fabricator.
I spent the past 33 years working with really talented builders of all trades.
Building to be off grid for the most part.
This will be my home as well as a way to travel and teach blacksmithing around the country.
I am very open to trading my skills/ custom work for things I need for the build.
Anyone with extras from their build are welcome to initiate a barter.

Welcome, I'm new myself. There's lots of welding to be done on a bus if you decide to modify it. Welding brackets to the roof for solar panels, Roof raising welding hat channels, welding flat plates to cover the school bus flashers etc, and then interior if you use metal at all for the walls. Welding racks under the bus to hold additional storage items, welding racks behind bus for mini-split air conditioners, etc.

You picked a good project and can maybe use some of those examples to show results to your students of what can be done.
