Steel blanks for floor patches?

What are your thoughts on using steel blanks like these to patch the floor holes?

They look thick enough to be durable, thin enough to bend to follow floor rib contours.

Measure your biggest hole, get the size that is double that?

I used the same thing on my floor, roofing tin caps!
Glued them down with construction adhesive and walked away!
