Steel blanks for floor patches?

What are your thoughts on using steel blanks like these to patch the floor holes?

They look thick enough to be durable, thin enough to bend to follow floor rib contours.

Measure your biggest hole, get the size that is double that?

True, but are there issues with dissimilar metals? or is the combination of ospho, primer, paint, and glue enough to isolate each metal?

It won’t be a problem. The adhesive is enough to separate them.

I just cut the old wall skin into small pieces and glued them down with SikaFlex 221.

giving the nod toward pennies... paintable caulk worked well for us.

I used the same thing on my floor, roofing tin caps!
Glued them down with construction adhesive and walked away!
