Strobe

You'll get a lot of folks saying they like theirs.
Here its not technically legal and its a source of future or even present leaks. So I take them off and seal up where they were.

I am keeping mine, may save my life if i get lost in the fog on a mountain.

I kept mine for years, never used it. I then added a backup camera. I use it as a rear view camera all the time. I used the 12 volt power from the strobe to power the camera. I ended up taking the strobe off and capping the hole. I can shut the camera off now with the old strobe switch. I also ran an rg6 coax cable to the back for the video feed. For a cheap amazon setup, it has worked pretty well and worth the effort.

That is a fantastic idea! I really want a wired backup camera and not a remote.

I want to replace the Amber lens with blue and paint my bus black and white........

I was thinking about this yesterday. Blue lights are for Law Enforcement only, but what if they are just lenses and not operating lights. I pictured the conversation with the cop. "Sir could you turn those on for me?" I"m sorry working blue lights are illegal, are you asking me to break the law?

I added a second camera on the driver's rear outside mirror while I was at it, since it was a 2 camera monitor. I use both quite a bit on the road. No more blind spots on drivers side, makes easy for lane changes. Hit one button on monitor and it switches camera view. The rear camera is awesome, because I pull a trailer 95% of the time behind the bus. I can keep an eye on things on the trailer as well as traffic.
