Switching from 2b Carb to 4b Carb?

Wanting to switch from 2b carb to 4b carb. Does anyone know what intake i need for the Ford 370? Also any clues on how to remove the speed govenor from my current 1989 B700 with a 370? Anyone pulling a boat with there bus? If so what kind a gas milage you getting? Thanks

Why are you wanting to go to a 4b carb?

Usually a 2b works better for torque than a 4b carb, I would worry about mpg really going bad by installing the 4b. The factory's did a lot of testing to setup a engine with the proper carb for the application...
 
I agree, keep the 2BBL. The funny thing is that 2 barrels and 4 barrels have their volumetric flowrate calculated differently in that one is at 3 inches of mercury while the other is at 1.5. This means that a 500 CFM 2 barrel flows more air than a 500 CFM 4 barrel if that makes sense.

That aside...if you want a 4 barrel carb I don't see any reason why an intake off any other 385 series Ford won't work. I don't think the 370 was a "tall deck" so any 4 barrel 370, 429, 460, or 514 intake should work just fine.
 
Thanks. I think I will just keep to the 2b. Any ideas on how th remove the gov. on this carb?
