Hello. This is my first post. On another website I've read the tankless water heater are not built to withstand the vibration and jarring of driving down the road. When the heater was returned the store they were told the warranty was void because it's not rated for rv use. It cost me a pretty penny but last year I bought a new rv water heater from camping world. My new tank is either propane or electric. It's a new design that uses the pilot light to help warm the water. In the end I believe it will pay for itself not only in years of flawless service, but also in warranty and avaliable parts.
I've had my bus for about 15 years and have been to over 30 states from coast to coast.
My last sugestion is to make sure you have the "correct" piping and fittings for running your propane.
I've seen many examples of skoolies that make me shutter in horror (Halloween reference) because of poor choice of materials. Do it once, the correct way and everything will outlive you.
Many local propane dealers (not gas stations) will custom make gas lines any length, with the correct fittings.
Doing things the correct way is much more time intensive but if your work is ever called into question, it's nice to already have things nice and legal.

good work on the scouting smitty its a shame that marey nevers tells or shows the requirements for the venting or do they list a vent kit o wonder pretty good price. o crap its back to the canadian peso :(
