what I am trying to determine is....
what do the steps look like behind this door? I'm thinking it looks like the steps at the rear of the bus I posted earlier.

PapaBear did not show the fabrication of the steps... since the existing exit door stopped at the floor of the bus.

I'll search your build thread and see if I can find your steps, now that I know someone else that built a mid-bus door. Thanks

well, since I already pulled this thread out of the depths of ****... I'll probably use it for my own research

I'm trying to picture how the mid-door steps are cut in...
I'm kinda thinking it's somewhat similar to the 4 or 5 pictures in this album

basically adding an open steel box, then adding the treads.
I really like the way the OP skinned over the entrance door, added a mid-doorn and then added the co-pilot's seat.
Just didn't get to see if Timmy got out of the well.

I'm finding side entrance doors from RV's in the $100 neighborhood with limited searching.

I keep getting side-tracked when I start researching items within the thread.

That's my bus and yes it does drag. I would like to take credit for building the rear deck but it was done when I bought it. You can see my concrete truck in the background.
