Due to lingering health issue's my wife is pestering me to sell our Crown & just break down & purchase a S&S & get on the road, SO

I'm asking the Skoolie community to take a look at what I've done so far, ask for photos of anything to get a better idea of any & all work I've done to give a honest assessment , Not looking for opinions of what you may have done different just what I did that's right & wrong so anyone who may be interested has a honest assessment

I'm thinking for $10,000 Id let it go, If i can't get that I'm pressing on.

Please be kind but honest.

Stuart

If folks are asking 20g's for run of the mill crowns with seats in them, I'm sure nice folks like you could get what you're asking for that Crown. Or more!

If you haven't already posted it on the Facebook groups, those people are a lot looser with their wallets than we are. Especially when it comes to a complete or partial conversion. Try "skoolie" and "skoolie nation"

LOL, I don't facebook, I wouldn't let Mark Zuckerberg lick the sweat off my balls if he was dying of thirst,

BUT- Josh is right.
Have someone else who's already sucked into the world of FB post it for you!

Thanks, Not a done deal yet more in the thinking stages right now

here's the way I see it... Take a look at your Goals.. and make a decision based on what the desired result is.. health issues taken into account..

if your Goal is to see as much of the country as you can In case health issues worsen, then sell the bus and go buy a motorhome and travel the country... ultimately it doesnt matter whether you travel from the seat of a school bus or a pre-built RV if your main goal is to visit places and nmake memories.. Lots of people do it every day..

if your Goal is to Build your own RV and thats as much if not more important than where you travel in it afterwords, then stick with the Crown...

for ME personally ive been a Bus Geek since I was barely tall enough to climb up on the step of a school bus.. so i buy them and cruise them all over the country.. as they are.. or modify as i go.. the busses make my travels incredibly fun. would I buy one to convert id probably never see the country because id want my bus to be too perfectly converted.. I know this about myself.. knowing this, if I ever want to go RV the country ill go buy a pre-made camper and take off...

No one is going to think any less of you because you are rolling across the country in a coachmen vs a crown.. people will think highly of you because you are following your dreams and travelling...

I was going to suggest advertising it to the CCJ crowd, but their Yahoo forum has now completely dried up because everyone there (except me) has swallowed the Facebook koolaid instead. As I refuse to have anything to do with something as insidiously evil as Facebook, I'm now also out of the loop when it comes to CCJ stuff. Too bad. I will NOT have anything to do with FB, ever.

Good luck with your Crown.

You'll be happy to know that Facebook stock took a major hit today.

So my wife, Forward thinker that she is (Nervous Nellie) Thinks i should pull off everything I've installed in the bus & sell as much as I can then scrap the bus because she's afraid if theres ever a incident with someone after selling it they could come back & sue us because of the changes we have done to the body,,, Thoughts

Used vehicles sold "As Is", should relieve you of responsibility.

I think that would be a hard stretch for someone to pull off.
Although I'm sure there is someone out there who would want to try it in this day and age.

However, buying used vehicles from an individual seems to still be an "as-is" sale, so unless they can show that you were intentionally negligent regarding the safety of the vehicle, you're in the clear.
