Newbie here. Thanks in advance for any intel you can provide. I will have the opportunity to buy a 25 foot 2011 Thomas with Cummins/Allison, and I don't know what a fair price would be. I've inspected the vehicle and as far as this layperson can tell, it appears to be in excellent condition inside and out. It has 170,000 miles and was very well maintained. Have any of you bought a similar bus relatively recently and can share how much you paid for it? The price has not yet been determined, I just want to do my homework now to figure out if I'm going to be able to afford it. I'd also appreciate any intel you can provide about where else I can find an answer to this question. Thanks in advance!

hello,
im new to diesels but i hear Cummins/Allison is a good combo.
diesels are easily good for 300K miles if maintained properly.
170K on a 2011 should be fine if the overall condition looks good.
price i am not sure on?
get on the computer and start looking around?
try and find comparable buses and see what they sell for?
i know its hard but be patient........LOL
also let us know what make the cab is?
maybe post a pic of the bus if you have one?
there is some pretty knowable people on this forum.
hopefully somebody can help ya out with a cost estimate?

@retiredroughnetck, the chassis is an International B2. The sole reason for this post is to learn how much others have paid for this vehicle. It's part of my effort to, as you say "get on the computer and start looking around? try and find comparable buses and see what they sell for?" Yes, all the knowledgeable folks on this forum is what I'm looking for, if they have personal knowledge of recent sales values of this vehicle, or knowledge of other platforms I can search to learn the info I'm requesting. Thanks.

I just got a 2002 International 25 footer: DT466 with Allison 2000 and 163,000 miles. That was $4000 from a school district in Kentucky.

Not quite the same platform you are looking at and 9 years older, but the length is the same.

The 2002 would be more desirable bc it is a pre emissions bus. Rust and general conditions being the same.

I was watching a 2010 Thomas with the Cummins/Allison and 183,000 miles on an auction a few weeks ago. It sold for just over $5,500. Hope this info helps.
