Yeah, about the "helper". She crapped out on me when there were heavy plywood panels to shift

Took me two days to do that on my own.

Trying to decide what to do next.

I have calculated that I will have 74 1/2" headroom in the center when the ceiling is in.

That is pretty decent headroom while still being well insulated. One of our daughters is interested in a skoolie but her husband is over 6' and a little apprehensive about enough headroom. My plans are similar to yours so hopefully he will be able to lay those fears to rest. Very good progress so far, keep it up.

I would have raised the roof had I bought one with a standard ceiling.

Now the coolant pipes to the front heater can go under the bus instead of through it:

Any self-respecting bus this age would be rusty, and the metal would be easier to cut !!!

What did you use to make the cuts, angle grinder?

Last few weeks have been a little slow, but next order of business is:

Delete 10 windows, 5 on each side (need steel)
Delete upper lights using spare steel
Tidy inside and spray-foam walls and ceiling.

I need to go get some sheet steel. Part of the delay was caused by needing to rebuild my trailer. It now has a fancy new bed and led lights, but that took a while and the weather hasn't been too friendly.

Can't decide.

I like the vinyl planking, but it's not cheap. I have access to plenty of reclaimed lumber, and I have a Delta 15" Planer ... so maybe a full wood floor.

Nice, I have a borrowed 12".

And since you (kinda) mentioned it, pallet planks actually clean up fairly nice. Just FYI for other projects you may have on hand. It's hard to beat free tho breaking them down is a pain in the butt.

I have a very nice Delta Unisaw too, with a 54" Biesmeyer fence.

I bought the saw and the planer from a cabinet firm that went broke. Think I paid around $750 for both. That was a good day

Anyway, it does mean I can rip and plane wood easily, and fast.

I have 2 problems... my uncle had a full woodshop and he said he literally gave away his equipment to his lawn guy because no one wanted to buy it. Second, I don't have room for a 54" even if you gave me one. Tho I would certainly make room somewhere!!

True but running a 50 foot 220v/30 amp extension cord is a pain in the butt.

The motorcycle is rusting away in the driveway. It belongs to the ex.

Went and fetched the sheet steel this morning.

Not happy that the 8 x 4 sheets are not flat, but I think I can work around it. The 10 x 4 is perfect.

8x4 2 @ $50
10x4 1 @ $60

$200 total with tax ... less than I thought. It's 18-gauge.

How "not flat" are the 4x8's? If not bent too sharply they should be fine.

They are kinda "wavy" where they have been sitting on supports for too long.

They should be fine, I need to cut them anyway.

The supplier had "old stock". When I called I was quoted $75 and $85 but when I got there he charged $50 and $60.

Oh, that's pretty standard. No worries, they'll be just fine.
Imagine how much worse the thinner stuff bows!
