What materials did you use?

3/4" plywood

1/2" hardibacker held by both screws and thinset.

Redguard

Thinset

Finally.... 12"x12" ceramic tile.

Could metal roofing be used?

I'm wondering the same about my shower - looking for a look I'll love, but I'm a bit resistant to the weight of using tile due to the cement board.

That’s a pretty good idea for doing the walls. barn tin too.

I started hanging the Hydro-Block board. So easy to work with. Cuts like drywall. Super light.
