Tire valve stem question

I got all new tires a few weeks ago and I just got a tire pressure gauge in the mail today. When I went to check the pressure on my duallys, I realized that the back tires are aligned in such a way that I can't get the gauge on the stems for the inside tires. Am I correct in thinking that the tire place should have aligned the tires so I can access the inside stems through the holes in the outside wheels? Or do I have to get some kind of separate t-gadget to check the inner pressures?

yeppers they shouldve!! and when I have tires put on I have extended valve stems installed.. for the outer wheel its a U-shape.. for the inner wheel its a longer straight stem... I would drive that bus right back to the tire shop and aks them to align the hand holes so you can check em at least..

if they werent smart enough to align them why give them a second chance to not torque the lug nuts???

just curious....
is your new tire gauge a standard truck pressure gauge?

i ask, because the regular pressure gauge is kind of a t style head. works both directions.

iirc, on my rear tires, the inner air stem faces out, and the outer air stem faces in, in holes 180 degrees apart on the rims.

i check pressure in between both tires and use both sides of my t style pressure gauge in the process.

a new pressure gauge with a single head may not work on duallys.
