Guess its time to give an update I haven't done much the project has kinda stalled since I got it where its use able I have lost the drive to really pimp it out lol, mostly its because I just need a toy hauler I dont need fancy smancy, later in life when I am retired and the wife and I spend months from home I will buy or build a killer rig to live out of, most my trips I am alone and meet up with others to ride off road.
Two Projects coming together... I am slowly building up my baha for off road use, nothing serious just something to take down desert washes and fire roads if I feel the need to go fast I will get out my Honda Pilot or one of the quads.
I still need to do the lights and safety chains then I can take it for a test ride on the road to see how it tows.. I think I will have the wife or kid follow me with the video camera so I can see how it tows and turns.
Anybody have any VW or similar towing experience, advice, do's and donts before I take off on another 5k mile trip?
Larger over sized tires on the VW a problem for towing?
