is anyone building a 40 - 45 passenger skoolie into a combo toy hauler/camper? - would be great to see some pictures - some of the pictures I've seen on KiJiJi look like they might have been done with a chainsaw and axe and are not very inspiring or instructive

thanks - l'll check those out - my 'toys' are sleddogs - now that there are 3, 4, maybe more people traveling with me to races, the price of motels and restaurant meals are getting out of hand - towing a trailer, either to haul dogs on, and a camper on the truck, or visa versa, makes getting into some of the race sites rather iffy at times - 'bought an older small motorhome and used it to tow the dog trailer to the last race and enjoyed the experience, however the 'rebuilt' motor with 5000 miles on it seized up before we got home - getting the dog trailer full of my best friends and the motorhome home was a complicated and expensive job - in days gone by I traveled alone with the dogs on the back of the pickup, each in their own apartment, and I could get to the most difficult race or training sites with no problem - if I had to cook outdoors on a Coleman stove, or sleep in a snowbank, that was no problem either, but now "we" need more comfort, the old bones need more warmth, yet I still want a single vehicle to get to the difficult race sites - ergo:- converted school bus - between old motorhomes and a derelict holiday trailer I have all the options for appliances and furnaces I need for the conversion - new dog boxes are already constructed - I have no need for plumbing as we will be heading into -30, or -40 weather, so water will need to be stored indoors in plastic pails - a chemical toilet or porta potty will take care of that job, so other than the removal of seats and obstructions, cutting openings in the walls back of the wheel wells for exterior access to the dogs, and a partition to separate the dogs from the living quarters, most of the job will be a bolt in - loose fitting what I already have will dictate the floor plan - it doesn't have to be fancy, just warm, dry, a place to cook and eat, and enough soft beds to sleep 4 people - the reason for the mid sized bus is it will be easier to navigate icy and/or snow bound roads/hills

I think it was colorado coach works did one for customer to haul little car around,may check it out. If you get a bus and decide to do one I do have a door off my 2018 toy hauler forsale.
