Ok. So trying to make a plan to fit everything in a 6 window bus for a family of 3 to live in part time... apparently means using a roof top, back porch, and under carriage storage.

At the rear underside of the bus, I have the 2 long sections on each side behind each dual wheel set (where I plan to put the fresh and grey water tanks)...

BUT... in between those 2 spaces there is a sizable space. I prefer to leave the tanks on each size so that I can have easy access to filling and dumping but I do want to make use of that center space.

Anyone have and examples or ideas of maybe a way to elevate and lower a storage platform it that section?

make a drawer that slides out to the rear or put your water tank there and use the side for other like gen tools or just storage

Carry around less stuff is the number one thing to do. Move your fresh water tank inside under the bed and use the space opposite the gray to put in your storage.

Install a hitch/receiver and use of those metal cargo racks with some storage tubs along side your generator if you will have one.

Like more said, make a narrow but long sliding draw out the back.

If you want removable storage . you might consider building a storage box with wheels on the bottom then either a cheap winch and cable elevator or add a liftgate pump and cylinders to raise and lower it. The hydraulics won't be cheap but won't require much fab work either. If you go permanent its simply building box and door latches can be gotten from a truck body supplier. Piano hinges for a better looking door hinge too.
Be sure to fabricate a hanger strap for the door If the open towards the roof. Makes loading /unloading a one person job.
