Unistrut Framing

Brainstorming question for you Gurus. I just inherited a bunch of uni-strut. I'm contemplating using it to frame out the inside of my 40 foot skoolie project Abigail. Thoughts? My major concern is the weight difference compared to dimensional lumber.

How well do you know uni-strut?
The weight difference is a factore but depending on your build design could be worked if not to extensive.
There are pro's and Con's in building walls with strut? Never tried it?
I use strut daily and it is good stuff but using it out of its intended purpose can be time consuming in notching and bevels to make the average Joe fasteners work.
Research Hilti unistrut systems and all the fasteners,corners, and stuff that they have and then make your own if possible.
If you need help I can tell you how to bevel the strut sides keep the back solid and bend it for a 90 or whatever. Design you want
The spring nuts are awesome for the struts intended purpose.
Strut is made to support stuff U shape up or down but I have used it the other way for smaller weight support.

Light gauge metal stud framing isn't to expensive.
Use the strut underside for storage bins,tanks, battery bays and the like.
Just an opinion

I wish I could inherit some Unistrut!

I'd use it for framing out my side bays under the bus (storage, electrical, plumbing, etc.). It's what I plan on using for that anyway, even if I have to pay for it.
