Being an east coaster I'm used to all the lands being owned. We've already live in this world over here where you can only stop at camp sites and Wal-mart parking lots.
I agree it's nice to have public lands to park on but as an East coaster I would have trouble finding out which lands are free to park on vs what is privately owned when traveling out west. Where does one go to even identify where it's possible to park my bus on?
A part of what Government wants to do is build new American Cities out west which can mean more rest stops and services for weary travelers. It's not all bad. New roads can be built to access parts of isolated land where you cannot travel to now, so more land can be explored for example.
I'm against selling land to just buy and hold and doing nothing with it. If it is going to be sold, there needs to be stipulations on the sale that it needs to serve the public in some way since those are public lands to begin with.Hard to believe but there are sections of land in this country where humans have barely set foot on still.
