use screws to patch old bolt/screw holes

I know it must be somewhere on the forum but I couldn't find it...

What is the general consensus on using screws to patch the bolt and floor screw holes and then grinding them down just above the end of the heads.

Seems like an easy fix but I haven't noticed any mention of it. Is there an obvious reason that I am not seeing?

Well ECCB would tell you to use JB Weld ..

I'm leaving the plywood down so on this one occasion I'll squirt silicone sealant.

One good solution is simply to epoxy pennies over the holes.

Some weld patches over the larger holes, and weld shut the small ones

I'd avoid anything that requires yet more grinding.

And the JB Weld jokes keep rolling in. Its like Franks Red Hot...he puts that sh1t on everything......Poor ECCB.

Id almost start a thread of just JB Weld jokes for him!

I just primer the bare metal on the holes and put a piece of butyl mastic foil tape over the hole. It's totally flat so easy to build over and it's waterproof.

On my first bus, and without knowing about this site, I used BlackJack roof repair to coat the steel subfloor on a badly rusted floor. It didn't stink like tar, even in summer and the floor is still good. As for all the screw and bolt holes the underside of the floor looks like it has black worms hanging from the floor.
