User name color

I see that there are two new moderators whose user names are green in color. Did you two have the option of choosing your color? Do you have to be a moderator to be able to change the color of your user name?
I would like to change mine to orange. Is that possible without being a moderator?

As moderators, you will be able to eradicate spam bot posts. That is a good thing.

No choice from what I can tell (I would have chosen orange too).

We are already hard at work de-spamming. Every time I log in there are several posts requesting approval that need removed. Most of the bots are not intelligent sounding like the ones who have gotten through though.
