I'm about to go get my bus later this week.
It has a missing tach, I ordered a bluefire adapter and tested out the connectivity with my tablet/phone etc. and I'm about 80% sure it'll work on the bus as is. But just in case, I also purchased a replacement tachometer so I can solder it on when I'm there.

It's a 2005 blue bird A3RE, image of the dash is attached. I believe the OEM tach is a VDO 4000rpm, does anybody know what the pinout of that adapter is? and what that adapter even is?? I figure if I can purchase a male version of that adapter somewhere and splice some wires to the tach, it'll be a lot easier than trying to make something janky on the road.

Bluebird tach part number for 2010 model is 00110409. it may work on the 2005 model. I'd call them and ask.

I don't think it changed much.

Oooh good call, I've been meaning to download all those diagrams and keep them. Just went ahead and downloaded them all and put'em on my laptop for reference!

I do see a diagram for panel assembly which shows how the dash panel connects, I'm looking to see basically what the each pins on that connector for the tach is, I'll keep looking, I have 46 diagrams to look through.

I used a Stewart Warner tach and speedometer which only need power and a pulse from computer or speedometer and tachometer, they have dip switches on back for adjustments
