Vinyl only in visible areas of floor

Hey again! We are getting ready to insulate our floors and put down plywood for our subfloor. Our plan is to put in everything else that’ll be sitting on the floor (cabinets, walls, etc. and then put vinyl down on the remaining visible areas. Is there anything you all can think of that’ll make this a bad idea?

Haven't gotten that far myself yet but my understanding is that is generally the way to do it. Leave a quarter inch on the edges and cover the gap with trim. Now you've got a floor that can expand without deforming or bubbling or what not.

I put my vinyl plank floor down over the whole floor of the bus before framing anything and left a 1/2” gap around the whole perimeter subfloor which I filled with sikaflex self leveling grout to allow for expansion and make it waterproof at the same time. Once the vinyl plank was down I filled the remaining gap with silicone and am happy with the results.
