Lurking and learning. The level of craftsmanship is incredible, the ideas are fantastic.
WhenI was a kid my Dad bought a 52 REO/Onieda 53 pass 32 ft school bus in 62. In Massachusetts he was allowed to register it as a passenger car by removing the seats to reduce capacity to 9 pass, removing the School Bus signage, and not to hire it out. It was listed as as yellow REO station wagon. It was the largest vehicle ever plated as a passenger car in 1962. We used all portable caming equipment and spent a good part of the summer touring NH and Maine. We eventuallt went seasonal in a campground in Maine and sold the bus to a farmer to transport eggs.
With my family we have done most of the camper configs and now have a seasonal in Maine. When I retire I want to build a bus.

Based on the duration of some of the build threads around here, you might want to get started on the bus well before retirement, so you can just enjoy it when you actually do retire!

Welcome, I too lurked for a while, but am now actively searching for a shuttle bus with cash in hand.
