Something along the lines of a 1994 Ford would be ideal. We're looking for something that we can take the driveline out of. It could be wrecked or rolled or anything like that. The body doesn't matter. Please let me know if you see something like that. Thanks.

I have some 5 speed Allison transmissions (MT653) if you need one. I've owned over 80 buses, and have a LOT of parts.

i have two allison at545's with very low mileage. with the correct adapter ring, they'll bolt to any of the common bus engines, diesel or gas.

For a DT466, I believe you will need a 600 series Allison due to the fact that the DT makes at least 210 hp in stock form, like the 1160/3208 CATs and 6-71 Detroits that also run the 600 series.

If you are going to use a slightly less powerful engine like the 8.2 liter Detroit (around 170-190 hp) or a DT360, I believe they would mate up to the smaller Allison, the 545.

If you have any questions that you can't answer just call. I do this stuff all day long, all week, all month, all year, etc.

$2700 would get you a 6BT with an air brake compressor and an MT643 from Tim at United Truck Body in Duluth. I'm not sure how solid his prices are, but it might be worth a call.
