Hey Gang,

Looking for the above battery, which is otherwise NLA in the US. Looking for new, or very lightly used, with low cycles.

Thanks for looking!

Hey, thanks for the link @BusBiz but there's been a few misleading-ish listings of late. So the battery I have is a 330Ah, and it's the 'old' version, which Victron has stopped making and supporting. The 'new' version, what they're calling the 'NG', or New Generation, is actually 300Ah, not 330. Because it's the NG version too, it's not compatible with my battery, technically, because the amp hours don't match and the NG version has an internal BMS and other bits, and my system has an external BMS.

A lot of listings say 330 in the title and/or description, but on the image itself, it says 300. In this link too, the title says 330, but the description says 300. That's an oversight on many non-Victron company sites because Victron isn't always clear on what they're doing.

I have a little beef with Victron because I literally just finished building my system with ALL Victron components and we just wanted to add another battery.

Anyway, more than you wanted to hear I am sure, but thank you for the link. I do appreciate it!

Victron doesn't have another compatible battery? Maybe you can just wire the new battery up differently to compensate. It sucks but you might have to add another to support it as a different battery type.

Unfortunately no, the NG won't chat nice with the OG, and I'd have to get a different BMS, rewire a few things and the like. I'm working with the fella who I took the electro masterclass with and he's been super helpful. Unfortunately, Victron has not been so helpful.

The 330 is definitely not made/available anywhere in the world anymore (it seems), so I'm working with my guy to come up with a solution. I'd rather not sell that one and go with new ones, as the new ones are almost twice what we paid for the OG, but who knows.

Actually, I juuust heard back from a Victron dealer and he said that their solution would be to buy an additional BMS for the new battery and the Cerbo would figure it out. That's about $2,600 I don't want to spend. I might just cool the jets a skosh and see how it goes with what I have on hand.

Here's my system though, if anyone's interested. The goal was to have the additional 330 drop in the space in front of the other 330. The NG 300s are not shaped at all like that and I'd have to configure something else. Not a huge deal, but just wanted to 'drop and go' sorta thing, as I've been working on this bus on and off for 3 years, so I just want to get out there.

Just find another battery that has the external BMS and put it right next to your existing one. It won't match all the blue Victron stuff but you could paint it or leave it as the ugly adopted stepchild.
