The wind blew all nite. Today, the wind began to blow again and harder. The wind went up to about 55MPH. About 3PM, my shop roof blew off. Frank

No insurance

Hopefully no rain for a while. When the sheetmetal blew off, some plywood was torn off too. Got several skylites now. Frank

Sorry to see that, Frank. How soon will you be able to repair the roof? Where in Idaho are you? Looks pretty wide open.

shop roof

I have no insurance, but I am a good worker. The weather is cold and gusty for the next week. I am leaving to get a small diesel engine about 1000 miles from home tomorrow. The plans were all ready made. There doesn't seem to be any rain in the next few weeks. Twin Falls, Idaho gets just 8 inches of precipitation per year. This heaven like place is the high desert at 3750 ft elevation. There is a saying here, that if ya don't like the weather, wait a few hours. This roof off is just another of life's challenges. Be well and enjoy life. Frank

up here on the island we see those winds all the time in the winter **** flies all over ive done lots of that metal roofing we screw that stuff down every 4 feet and stich screw the laps every 16 inches. looks like you can salvage alot of that good luck with the repair

If nothing else, grab that metal sheeting & take it to a scrap dealer...it's worth something. You might even be able to re-use some of it.
