Well, today's the day we seal the deal. Hubby is on his way to purchase the bus.

Just one thing to figure out. Where does one park a bus? :?

D'OH! The bus parking can be problemmatic for some people. Depends on how strict your neighborhood is. Mine has no rules to speak of, so I can park a fleet of buses if I had the space. But some people get hassled on day 2 of the bus' arrival.

Good luck with the parking and welcome to the fun!

You know I parked my bus at the house hoping it would drop my property value. I just got my appraisal from the County. They raised the value $2000. The bus cost $2000 dollars. I wonder how they knew? :)

thats great ideal, maybe you can hang a 350 chev motor on a tripod on your front lawn? nothing better then getting those appraisals in the mail

I park mine at a storage unit near my home that is pretty secure with lighting and video survellance, runs about $400.00 a year. I park it in my drive way when I am working on it over the weekend. This has turned out to be pretty handy as I have left tools and other not real expensive stuff in the bus knowing that there was a slim chance of vandalism or theft. I don't have to worry about having the bus being 100% secure when I put back in the storage unit.

Well i'm sure the bus will fit in the yard... it's just a matter of making the room for it (we have a very full yard as it is)

Thanks for all the suggestions for parking tho.

ok, So... we've purchased the bus and we have the parking figured out. I'm thinking that the next step will be to figure out what to do with the seats once we get them out.
Other than keeping a couple for the table, does anyone have any ideas/suggestions about what to do with the rest. Or should we just look at sending them to the landfill?

tks

We gave ours to a friend who recycles scrap metal to make ends meet. Kept the metal part of the seats out of the landfill and gave him a few extra dollars to put food on the table.
