On my bus it is a throttle. You twist it to the left to unlock it then pull it out
to the desired RPM then turn it to the right to lock it at that speed. On my bus
it is no longer functional as the 40 ft of cable has rusted in place and the knob
just pulls off the end of the cable. I believe it was used to warm up the bus in
cold weather and circulate the water to the heaters.

If your not gonna use your coupon I'll take it. :Thanx::Thanx::Thanx:

It's a rear axle steering wheel... If you turn it counter to your main steering wheel you can make tighter corners or turn it in sync with your steering wheel 'crab walk' the bus into parallel parking spots! LOL just kidding, if only!

Ohmite makes electronic controls. As much as the throttle control sounds good I don't think this is that. I think it is some sort of rheostat that would control the brightness or speed of something..... Like maybe dash lights or wiper or...
The detent is either most likely on or off.

We have a winner!!!

Went out and turned on the 12 dome lights and adjusted the brightness!

Yeah, 12 dome lights and 6 of those overhead lights you see in front seat of police cars (for those that have had the luxury of riding uncuffed in the front seat):whistling:
It was an ambulance and the more light, the better... I'd think

The other night I had been dinking with it, and saw it did nothing so I left it alone... The next night I used the dome lights and saw they were dim....

Dismissed it as "more crap to work on, check for bad ground)

Btw, I did Google search different combinations of OHMITE before I decided to give up my coupon:campfire:

And saw some rheostat related stuff, but dismissed it, thinking I was opening a valve for air or hydraulic

lol the vision of that made me laugh out loud.

If only I could get the rear axle to steer.... I'd have a lot easier time wiggling through my 10 foot gate... Gotta steer one mirror through, cut the wheel and get the other mirror through:hide:

I'm still trying to get used to hanging out forward of the steering tires... I park on a concrete pad that's about 2 blocks high... I hang my head out the window and watch the front tire...

Look forward and there's no concrete to be seen!
