yes mild steel 3/8 thick should be fine for 9mm and 45, I use AR500 targets for everything else

the plates a 4 x 7 so a little smaller than most 6" dia plates

So I found time to shoot a bit...4x5-1/2 is a small target :D
Didn't dent plates, even "tested" the angle iron, no marks cool

Nat,
These are made for 2 people to be shooting, start out even colors...in the end time or round count, whoever has the least color showing wins

Oh no, not getting off that easy. We want video. For all we know, your wife might have been doing that shooting.

Okay....I never, never in my wildest dreams would have guessed that you were making a "dueling tree".

Even after seeing it standing up I lacked the knowledge of what is a dueling tree and wondered "okay, so what's it for?" Thanks for the pics and commentary. My first thought after seeing the splats was of June bugs on meth having a gay old time till......

Now the question on, I would guess, most everyone's mind is "WHERE ON THE BUS ARE YOU PUTTING IT?"

This won't be attached, I may throw it in back for trips tho' ;)

I had no clue about the parts. But when I saw it lying down welded, and knowing Bansil's posts, I knew it was some kind of target. When I saw the name and it was standing up painted, I "figgered out" how to use it. And I don't think I've had occasion in my busy life to hold a loaded gun since LBJ or Nixon were living next to the National Mall.

If you come down South we can do food, drink and entertainment...all in a safe manner, might even break out the cane poles and bobbers ;)

Last year the missus was talking about a trip through the TN mountains, but her plans have changed. But if I do get down there, don't shoot first if I come up the driveway to say "Howdy."

Redbear no worries ;)

Holybus, that's cool...my former job let me play with MG's alot and I couldnt afford the ammo then :D
