What does everyone use for a vacuum? I've tried handheld dirt devils, battery life consistently gets less each charge. We've used the dyson handheld and it doesn't work that great; especially for the money. 120V 12V cordless, hardwired, doesn't matter. I just want it to work well. Whatcha got?

For "construction" cleanup, I have a little Sears 2.5 gallon shop-vac that works well. 120VAC powered.

For the "house", I have a Proscenic P8 cordless vac. I like it - did a write up about it on my blog a month or so ago. For my purposes - mostly cat hair and dust - I think it does a good job.

shark for the bus 120 volt, its small works good bag less , for the house up right fuller with a bag, I hated using a bag less, there gross to empty
gbstewart

For the construction phase I am wit JD. Shop-vac.

For living in the bus, we tried several, the Shark Navigator worked best for us. However, we had two Golden Retrievers and a cat to deal with.

You guys are happy with the sharks? I had a shark pet perfect handheld and it was garbage. Emptying it was a pain too. The handhelds don't seem to get enough suction force, but there's no way I'm carrying an upright in the bus.

Funny you say leaf blower, right now I've just been using a compressor and opening all the windows then wiping everything down lol.

I tried several hand held vacuums. None were adequate for normal housekeeping.

OK for spot pickup of crumbs etc but not enough power to properly vacuum the carpet and furniture.

i have a hand held royal and its a POS.

i just got a tiny shop vac from wally. i think its a 1gallon size Stanley brand. it had a wall bracket to hang it up too. its 120v, but thats no issue for me. i like it, so far so good.

I use the one that sucks the best... er, worst... um, most efficiently.... :banghead: THAT didn't come out well......

M :nonono::facepalm::whistling::biggrin:

That's what she said.....er wait he said...:hide::dance:

The highest rated, and most popular small canister vacuum cleaner in the world is the "Henry", made by Numatic.

We have a platoon of Henry's around the base....... but as mentioned already he has a raging coke habit :whistling:

Seriously tho, for construction and general cleanup I have the Rigid 5 HP 16gal, it has not let me down in the house, garage, bus or a partially flooded basement...
that said it's bulky and a power hog, so if the intent is in the bus I wouldn't recommend it.

we bought one of those vacuums at my wife's insistence - I made an appointment with the salesman to come quite late in the evening, and over a bottle of rye whiskey, a lot of laughter and plenty of negotiating, got the price down to $250 AND we kept our old vacuum - lol - it was still an expensive piece of junk :(
