Sounds like the door buzzer... When a door is not closed and latched it will buzz.

All doors shut when I open back door window or roof hatches I get a buzzer noise from the back of the bus but the beeping stays the same sometimes if I turn it off and back on it won't beep and then after second it beeping again

I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture of the little box that beeps

The little relay box says buzzer but it makes a beeping sound sometimes when I flick it it beeps faster

Advance Auto and AutoZone couldn't tell me what it was or if I needed it cuz if I unplug it it stops beeping obviously

But it beeps and it's not what makes the door buzzing sound can I just unplug it

The wonderful thing about things like this is that you can unplug it and see what happens. It won’t break anything. Kind of like removing a light bulb. If you find that you need to have the buzzer for some reason, you can always plug it back in.

To really know what it’s for, you will need to trace it back to it’s source and what triggers it.

Schematics would be a good place to start, or a flashlight and tone generator (a diagnostic tools for tracing electrical circuits - also a useful and inexpensive tool).

This is just my first diesel I don't want to tear it up. But everything seems to be working fine without the box

The buzzer is just like a CEL. It’s there to make you aware of a condition. It’s up to you to do something about the condition. To know what it’s for you need to trace it back to the trigger.

I am trying to remember what all of the different lights and buzzers were supposed to warn the driver about some sort of condition that needed attention.

Every emergency exit door, hatch, and window had some sort of alarm. The roof hatches in particular are sometimes really hard to get the buzzer to quit.

Low oil pressure should stop buzzing as soon as the oil pressure goes over 5 PSI.

Low air pressure should stop buzzing as soon as the air pressure goes over at least 60 PSI and it may stay buzzing up to 90 PSI.

Some buses had a headlight buzzer if you didn't turn the headlights off when you turned off the key. Others had a buzzer that would only go out after the headlights were turned on whenever the key was in the run position.

Some buses had seat belt warning buzzers the remind the driver to put on driver's seat belt.

Some buses had a buzzer for low fuel.

You are going to have to start going through the electrical panel and start turning circuits on and off so that you can find which circuit is powering the buzzer. Once you find which circuit it is on you should have a better idea as to what the buzzer is telling you to check.

Good luck and make sure you post what the buzzer was reminding you to do!

I had a buzzer like that, I think...? I removed it... probably.

Just remove it; what could go wrong...?
