Wheel Arch problem in Floorplan

Hi Guys,

I started my Skoolie project may 2017 with orientation etc, after buying, shipping to Europe and all kind of governmental requirements etc I finally got my license plates and started with the conversion it self.

In the meantime I started with the floor plan design (see attached).

I currently 'taped' the floor plan on the bus-floor to actually see and feel how the design would work out.

Most of the design still feels great, except one thing, the 'bathroom-entrance', which is exactly at one of the wheel arches.

Any ideas are welcome!

Some more details, my bus is a 1997 International / Thomas 3800 series with a 71 passenger capacity, 11 windows.

I am planning on putting my toilet on the wheel well. It's just a step up. With the position of your shower, it makes for a nice step down to the shower.

Also...on most Skoolies you can "chop" the wheel tubs down a fair amount. Look down below and see how room there is between the axle and the bump stops. You will typically have quite a bit more space between the tires and the top of the well. You can cut them down by that amount without fear of rubbing.

I cut about four inches off the front of one of mine to make room for the potty. Still a ton of space.

Nice bus you got there! Looks just like mine. Our layout looks fairly similar, although mines not finalized yet. I think how I will be getting around this problem is by separating the shower and toilet. I won't have counters on both sides so I think I'll be putting my toilet just in front of the wheel well on the opposite side as the shower. Composting toilet so no need for plumbing.

Also, on my build page I posted my layout a few days ago. The toilet worked behind the wheel well because I was going to have a washer/dryer in the front by the fridge. I've decided to not do the washer though, and move the toilet leaving me more space in the bedroom area and shower

Not to detail the thread, but I'm curious what shipping cost you.

I bought the bus in Nebraska, so I had to rent a driver to drive the bus 1400 miles to Baltimore which costed me: $1998

The shipping Baltimore to Antwerp was $3490 using Hoegh Autoliners.

Everything was arranged by Landstar / Deakins Logistics Group - Florida, including the customs, export etc

I'm not seeing a bathroom sink. What is the box marked wm? seems you can move the entire bathroom rearward with no problems to clear the wheel well. what about tank placement under the toilet?

Theres indeed no sink in the bathroom at the moment, not 100% if i want / need one since the kitchen is very close.

The 'WM' box in the back / garage = Washing Machine.

After onsite puzzling with tape on the floor we've found a 'solution'.
I moved the bathroom and inverted the position of the shower and toilet within the bathroom, I also rotated the main bed 90˚.

After this onsite job I went back to the computer to apply the changes to the 'design' (attached)
