For those of you that have holding tanks, I was wondering how you store your slinky(sewer hose)? I have mine in my propane bay but, Im going to build some kind of tube for storage, Im not going to put it on the bumper like other rvs(building deck) just want to get some kind of ideals from the good people at skoolie.net

tks

Why not a PVC pipe with a screw cap.

thats pretty much what i had in mind, but i always like to see how others do it and mount things, take all the good points and come up with something that would fit my needs, thats how i like to do things in the bus,

thank you for your reply

I can't imagine keeping it with anything else in the same container. Another thought is a compartment right next to your dump valve. I've never had to deal with this before. You might have guessed that.

Just get pvc tube, solid cover for one end, screw cover for other end...a couple muffler/exhaust clamps and stick it out of sight under bus, simple, cheap and ....well cheap.
You could put screw ends on both ends to wask it out easier.
I have one of those tubes I store a rolled up tarp in (10foot emt conduit attached to one end and I use extendable tent poles for other end)

Bansil, I store the roll out tarp that attaches to the rain gutters on my 1971 Suburban in the same way. The tarp stays clean, is easy to access and is the F--- out of the way!

Currently (and in the past) stored the slinky in a heavy plastic trash bag that is securely closed and tossed in a bay. We use the "heavy duty" ones and toss them about once a year (if moving much) and replacing when changing campgrounds on long term stays.

We want a macerator to permanently attach to the sewer hookups. Then the hose will simply get capped off and stored in the water hookup bay. Our goal is to have all hookups enclosed to prevent freezing (reason behind the macerator).

Link to a PVC sewer tube. Read the comments section for more ideas. Good website to get ideas from (or wonder why folks buy sticks-&-staples).

lorna, i will be getting a macerator as well, but a portalble one so i can dump my tanks at home when get back from boon docking,
ill be bulding a slinky holder with abs pipe, im just running out of space under the bus (driver side where dump valve is) but i have a few ideals how im going to do it, iv been laid up for a bit from surgery,(my poor wife has been looking after me) and its snowing and cold, but hopefully Ill be building stuff in the garge for the bus.
tks

EEEK! I'm hoping this year is warmer with less snow than last year.

If you only will be dumping at home, just store your stinky at home in a PVC pipe and carry a clean one "just in case". After all... "stuff" happens and you may need a nice clean sewer hose one time.
