Which bus?

So we are getting one of these busses in the next week and need some help deciding. Our priorities are 1- long enough to accommodate my wife and our 16 month old 2- best motor/transmission (easy to repair or very reliable) 3- price... our budget for purchase and redo into living space is 15k total for this year. Please take a look at the busses and help us decide which way to go...

A couple of those look good for the price. The first one is nice.
Image 3 of 13 looks good, has under storage, so it might have over drive tranny.
You will want a bus with the overdrive transmission. Better gas mileage.
The second bus is over price. Tough to chose, you will have to decide.
The first one looks good, the third one looks good.?? You may want the engine in the back or the front ??

I had wanted the old school front engine but have had a few advise me that the rear engine is going to be a lot quieter and possibly more power as well. If that's correct then prob go with a rear engine unless we see a front engine that's just too good to be true. Does that sound about right?

Reasonable offers?

If any of you could give some advice on reasonable offers to make on "your" favorite bus that would be a great help to me if I choose one that you like! I have seen such a crazy range in price I really am lost.

The Prevost is nice because no wheel arches to contend with. $10K? I dunno. $8K might be more like it. I got mine through Midwest Transit.

First off some of them have higher interior height than others. So weigh that option as well.

And since you are looking at mainly north east busses. Make sure to check for rust, and however bad it may/may not be.

That being said, my brothers newer Amtrans RE has lot tighter steerng radius. maybe next time i buy one of them

my bus pretty quiet after conversion as there are two rooms with doors before you get to the engine sound.

I have NO intention of performing the Windshield Taste Test (WTT). Yes, I know that I have front row seats to a possible accident; i, however, do prefer walking to the scene of crime.

I do realize that there are more design possibilities with a flat that would be really cool and did almost get one but ran into a great deal with my hood
