Hi, I'm working on a Ford Econoline 350 and I'm in a pickle! My bus is missing a rear window, back right (20 and 3/4" H x 21 and 1/32" W and 7/32 thickness). I'd really like to get this window back in.
I bought a replacement piece of glass through Midwest bus parts. It's the right size and tint. But I have had no luck securing a gasket and without it none of our local auto glass places will install the glass. The gasket part number for the window is 15026373. I couldn't find a used or new one, so I bought a universal gasket which had similar dimensions, but it won't work and it looks like I need the correct Thomas piece. I have had no luck dealing with Thomas either - they've referred us to Safelite glass and Safelite say that they can't help.
Has anyone encountered similar problems? Would appreciate advice on how to secure a gasket or otherwise get this window in. We are in North Carolina. Many thanks!
