In regards to what you want to do.
My wife and I had a similar idea about visiting the State Parks and found a WEBSITE for a program they offer kinda like camp host but simpler (10-yrs ago?) that the state parks offered.
It is/was called workamper and you let them know in advance when you wanted to be there and jobs you have experience in or was willing to help with and they would give you a free lot with hookups to the parks ability and pay you for the work you,your wife,and your children 14-yr up did and at the standard state rate for the job performed including 10$ an hour for picking up sticks if need be and with notice you could say I am tired of being in the BROKENBOW park and I would like to go to the GRAND CANYON in three weeks.
They would have you a spot and a job before/when you arrived?
Don't know cause I ain't done it?
But that was our original dream of homeschooling our kids?
They are 17&18 now and have jobs,vehicles.
Guess where our bus money is getting ready to go?

Dang robin it looks like your computer and typing is still faster than me?
But I am stil on the two finger thing and mostly one anyway?
And everyone on this sight can just agree that my lack of computer skills suck.
I am OK with that.
Cause I don't want to catch up? Even thou I have to

My typing speed was thourally earned working as a paralegal for a number of years. I typed at over 130 wpm while I was working. This time, since I've been back online, I've been struggling with this new pad I bought as a replacement for my deceased laptop. It came with a keyboard but the keys don't contact real well. I feel like Linus from Charlie Brown playing the toy piano. It's taken me quite a while of hammering on the keyboard with two fingers to get the keyboard broken in. You might have noticed I wasn't very mouthy for a while but things are picking up again. My keyboard is starting to work better and I'm actually able to type with two hands, but I still have to strike the keys hard almost like an old manual typewriter. You'd think I'd be able to spell better.

While you were learning your various skills I was learning to type while protecting the Uniform Code of Military Justice. I was a military legal specialist which is basically the equivalent of the civilian paralegal. If this country is ever put under military law you might want to get in your bus and head for the mountains. Talk about a kangaroo court.

You type plenty good. More than that, you know things. Keep on huntin and peckin. Have you seen the new speech to text features? You don't have to know how to type anymore.

I played marine and I know the UCMJ to well but from the opposite end unfortunately.
That tap a talk and speak to talk is to fancy for my likings so I have yet to try it but my kids are slowly introducing me to that stuff as it comes into fashion.

Yeah, everybody loves to hate the legal specialist (71D). I was busted at one time myself. The UCMJ is well known as the kangaroo court system.
If this country ever gets put under marshal law, head for the mountains quick.

On my prior enlistment I was a 63H Track and Wheeled Vehicle Specialist. Anybody need a M60 tank fixed?

I've definitely been a few places. With several recessions under my belt I think of it as just trying to stay alive. Learning to type later in life was one of the most difficult things I've done. I had nearly four years of printing classes instead of learning to type earlier in my life. Lots of poor choices that led to forced learning opportunities.

i ended up in many a situation that wasn't mine to answer for but I ended up being the one responsible after following the lack of orders?
Mine men came home with all there body parts and none detached but air support was right on time.

Sorry for not responding sooner. My electronic device doesn't update correctly and I can't see responses until this thing updates.

The only thing I've been to college for was Real Estate Technology so I could be a real estate appraiser. That landed me a job in a cubical. Apparently I don't fit in with those people. I started out as a logger and timber cutter. What do they expect?

I was a Battery Clerk at an IHAWK battery in FRG. I did hit 82 WPM at Ft Ben Harrison. Blew my instructor's mind. Yes, I dealt with the UCMJ as well, but not on a frequent basis. Most of mine was form filling, which slowed me down considerably.
